A Rainy Day Demise

My very first film photo outside of a Polaroid was that of a puddle outside where my dad works at, some years ago. It looked as though the pavement had been torn away and underneath there was a powerline shimmering through from another dimension. This photo has that sort of power which makes me want to peer into the puddle to open what looks to be a door; and I strongly believe thats accomplished by the whole composition. This is one of the very few photo's I have ever liked that is vertical. I never shoot anything other that horizontal. In this case though, I dont believe it could have been captured in any other way and it is wonderful.
